My aim is to make people more open minded about whom or what they consider beautiful.

I have gone about achieving this by stripping back elements which would normally give models more conventional beauty such as hair styling, makeup, fashion, the models' expression, flattering lighting and interesting backdrops. This allows me to work with only the raw elements of the model.

For the last 8 months I have been working on this series with models I am photographing for editorial or advertising work. This means that I have probably looked through dozens of comp cards, held a casting and chosen that person for that job so I've seen something capture no matter what the conditions. Maybe next time you see a familiar scene, you'll look at it in a different light.
