Raised in a rural area and displaced in the urban jungle of Sydney as a child, "Concrete" is my reaction to this dramatic shift of surroundings. While this bland, often lifeless building material offers little beyond functional purposes, I see infinite possibilities for interesting compositions. What began as an exercise in 'finding', "Concrete" has become a visual definition of the way I approach most of my work, both commissioned and personal.
